Belgian Parliament ratified the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union

Belgian Parliament ratified the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union. This was announced by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin in Twitter.

"Belgian Federal Parliament by an overwhelming number of votes ratified the Association Agreement EU-Ukraine. The law has yet to sign the King of the Belgians" - he wrote.

As reported, Ukraine expects to complete the ratification by all Member States of the Association Agreement before the end of 2015.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, on April 21, completed the internal government procedures and transferred to the General Secretariat of the Council of the EU instruments of ratification for 14 states. That being said Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevhen Perebiynis, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Denmark, Estonia, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia and Sweden.

In three states on April 21, an agreement ratified by the Parliament and is expected to sign the relevant heads of state. This Luxembourg, Finland and Spain.

In Germany, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands ratified the agreement is one of the Houses of Parliament is expected to ratify the Second Chamber.

"In eight countries - Austria, Belgium, Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Portugal, Slovenia, France - preparation procedures for ratification continues," - said Perebiynis, adding that Ukraine hopes that the rest of the EU Member States to accelerate ratification of the agreement in order that this whole process was completed by the end of this year.
