The President has signed the Law "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the Application of Citizens" on Electronic Application and Electronic Petition".

The abovementioned Law was adopted by the Parliament on July 2, 2015 at the initiative of the President.

The Law provides for the submission of individual and group applications via Internet and creates an opportunity for the Ukrainian citizens to address the President, Verkhovna Rada, Cabinet of Ministers and local self-government through the submission of e-petitions on the official websites. The use of electronic digital signature when sending e-applications is not required.

Under the Law, an e-petition must gain the required number of votes. The petition addressed to the President, Parliament or Government must gain at least 25,000 votes within a maximum of 3 months from the date of publication of the petition.
