Arseniy Yatsenyuk: Expenditures for security and defense increased to UAH 113 billion in the State Budget-2016

Expenditures for national security and defense expenditures have been increased to UAH 113 billion in the State Budget for 2016. UAH 74 million is devoted to the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, UAH 500 million - the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, said Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk in 10 minutes TV program on Sunday, December 27.
The PM stressed that the greatest amount of funds in the Budget for 2016 is devoted to national security and defense, “to our warriors who are at war with the Russian military aggression, to our new police officers, to the National Guard and to all those who defend Ukraine, protect our sovereignty and our territorial integrity”. In 2016, total funding for the entire sector of national security and defense is increased by 16 billion to UAH 113 billion.

“These funds will be used primarily to increase salaries for a serviceman of the National Guard, a soldier, a policeman, a frontiersman – for each Ukrainian soldier. We apply the following principle – the principle of fair and equal treatment in salaries for each Ukrainian soldier, the warrior and the policeman who defend peace and stability in the country.”
A significant amount of funds will be spent on modernization and renovation of Ukrainian Armed Forces, stressed Arseniy Yatsenyuk, – “on the new technique, equipment, training in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as well as in the National Guard and the National Police.”
