Crimea blockade coordinator says on Turkish support

Lenur Islyamov, the coordinator of a so-called Crimea blockade, has said that Turkey will assist in the formation of Ukrainian volunteer battalion named Noman Celebicihan, which includes representatives of the Crimean Tatar people.

In an interview with Odesa crisis media center, Islyamov was asked whether Turkey supported Crimean Tatar activists.

"Yes, it supports. On Friday, we will get the first batch of military uniforms, namely 250 sets of uniforms, shoes. They are beginning to equip us. The Turkish government realizes that Ukraine is not yet able to respond so quickly," he said.
